We are open from 10:00am - 4:00pm on Tuesday to Saturday.
Appointments only after 4:00pm for piercings.

what is available at studio 59?
Studio 59 is home to a team of five talented tattoo artists, each specialising in their own distinctive style.
We also offer professional body piercing, advanced aesthetics treatments, and laser tattoo removal.
Located within the studio, you’ll also find a luxury hair salon, a professional hair dressing training academy, and nail and beauty services.

DO YOU REQUIRE A DEPOSIT?
In order to book an appointment for a tattoo, we kindly ask for a deposit to be paid before hand.
This price can range depending on artist you are booked in with and overall price of tattoo.
Once we receive your deposit, your appointment will be secure.
ALL DEPOSITS ARE NON REFUNDABLE!
If you wish to cancel or move your appointment please give 72 hours notice.

how old do i need to be for a tattoo?
You must be at least 18 to get a tattoo.
Please bring your ID - Failure to show a photo ID if asked to means you will be un able to get a tattoo.

how do i pay?
We take cash and card at the studio for all services.

can i use numbing cream?
We don’t recommend numbing cream as they are not all safe to use, please inform us beforehand if you are going to be using it.

do i need to book an appointment?
Yes, we recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred artist and date.
Depending on availability, some of our artists may also accept walk-ins for smaller tattoos.

how do i book a tattoo?
You can book by contacting the studio, submitting an enquiry through out website, or socials or visit us in person.
If you are communicating with us online, please include your tattoo idea, preferred placement, approximate size, and any reference images.

how so i prepare for my appointment?
Get a good night’s sleep, eat a proper meal beforehand, stay hydrated, wear comfortable clothing that provides easy access to the area of being tattooed, and avoid alcohol or recreational drugs for at least 24 hours before your appointment.

what aftercare should i follow?
Your artist will provide detailed aftercare instructions.
Generally, you’ll need to keep the tattoo clean, moisturised with recommended aftercare product ( available to purchase instore ) , avoid scratching or picking, and protect it from direct sunlight while it heals.

Can i exercise after getting tattooed?
Light exercise is usually fine, but avoid activities that cause excessive sweating, friction, or pressure on the tattoo for the first few days.

Can i go swimming after getting a tattoo?
No. Avoid swimming pools, hot tubs, lakes, and the sea until your tattoo has fully healed to reduce the risk of infection.

do you tattoo over scars?
In many cases, yes.
However, it depends on the type and age of the scar. We’ll assess this during your consultation.

how old do i have to be to get a piercing?
Age restrictions follow =
6+ with parent – Earlobes only
14+ with photo ID & parent – Regular piercings ( excluding tongue, nipples or genitals)
16+ - Tongue with photo ID
18 + – All Piercings ( Including Nipples & Genitals )
Please present us with a valid picture ID with your date of birth visible (passport or driving licence preferable)
If you are under 16 you will need a parent / guardian present.

what jewellery do you use to pierce?
We use implant-grade titanium as our standard jewellery we piece with. It’s nickel-free, hypoallergenic, and ideal for healing.

is the body jewellery included in the price?
Yes! All out piercings include high-quality implant-grade titanium jewellery in the price. The standard jewellery included is a basic titanium bar ( or £5 extra for a crystal ).
If you’d prefer something a little more luxurious, we also have a wide range of premium jewellery available in-store that you can upgrade to during your appointment.

when can i change my body jewellery?
You can change your body jewellery once your piercing is completely healed, please pop in and consult with our body piercer for an upgrade.

do you use a piercing gun or needle?
We use disposable, single use needles exclusively as the piercing gun can’t be sterilised and is not safe.

what do i do if my piercing is infected?
There can be different types of infection affecting your piercing. You need to come and see us or send us a picture of the affected area so we can advise you regarding treatment. In 90% of all cases you don’t need to remove your piercing, so please do not remove it before consulting with us.

Yes we do!
We accept walk in’s 10:00am - 4:00pm.
You may also book an appointment if you prefer.
Please be aware - after 4:00pm is requested appointments only.

When do i need to downsize my jewellery?
Many piercings require a downsizing appointment after the initial swelling has reduced, usually around 6-8 weeks depending on the piercing.

what should i do before my appointment?
Eat a meal beforehand, stay hydrated, avoid alcohol and drugs, and wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area being pierced.
FAQ laser removal

how long does it take to heal?
It takes between four and six weeks for the treated area to heal, although this can vary.
It is normal for the skin to be slightly blistery and itchy.

Can i get an allergic reaction?
It is highly unlikely. We always do a patch test before going ahead with the treatment, after which you need to wait for at least five days to rule out any possible reactions.

how many sessions do I need to completely remove my tattoo?
It depends on the tattoo. In order to remove a tattoo completely you might need at least six sessions. Please pop in and consult with our laser tattoo removal specialist.

Is it possible to remove colour tattoos?
It is more difficult to remove coloured tattoos and you might need more sessions than for plain black ink.
There is no guarantee for complete removal.

how long does a tattoo removal session last?
A session last a few minutes, depending on the size of the tattoo you want to remove.

how long do i have to wait between two laser removal sessions?
You have to wait 4-6 weeks until the skin regenerates.

can i cover the treated area with a new tattoo?
After a few treatments when the ink fades and your skin heals completely you can tattoo the area with a cover up. We recommend this as after a few laser treatment sessions the faded tattoo can be covered easily.
