WHAT WE COVER
BODY PIERCING TRAINING COURSE @ NV Piercing Academy
No experience needed
On this course you will be taught how to become a body piercer in a working studio, piercing genuine clients.
You will be taught every aspect of customer service, hygiene, all the way though to piercing complications.
This course is broken down into 3 days over the space of 2 weeks.
It takes place on a Monday and Tuesday - The days will begin at 11am and end at 3pm
COURSE OUTLINE
DAY 1
Course introduction
Different types of piercings
Correct jewellery sizing
Cross contamination
Correct hygiene procedures
Customer service
DAY 2
Recap of day 1
Use of an ultrasonic
Use of an autoclave
What instruments are used for each piercing
DAY 3
Recap of day 1 & 2
Correct piercing set up
Correct piercing clean down
Talking through and showing suitable anatomy for certain piercings
Practicing holding clamps & needle control
Marking our piercings & correct placement
DAY 4
Recap of days 1, 2 & 3
You will be putting everything you have learnt into practice on dummy models
You will be shown how to apply the correct amount of pressure when holding the clamps and needle
Problem solving for piercings, for example. the difference between irritation & infection
Insurance & council registration
Piercing real life models
Theory exam - this is so we know you are at the pass level for this course
Once the course has finished and we have assessed your theory and practical examinations we will contact you within 48 hours with your results.
You will need a minimum of 90% to pass the entire course.
